Great alpine feeling when you enter this pub. Raging fire and hot hearty meals on the menu. Very enjoyable lunch with friendly staff who are happy to take time for a chat. Outdoor is pretty cold though. 🥶
Great place to stay, dinner menu not much to choose from $60 porterhouse steak, no chicken Parma only Curry every night
Food was really nice, you think your paying a bit much for the food until it arrives and you can't finish it as there is so much. Good value.
Had a meal after a long drive in the Motorhome on the Lyell Highway. Staff were very friendly and knowledgeable. Meals were excellent and the venue is very unique, like a medieval feasting hall with a huge open fire. Highly recommended.
Thought room to be overpriced for its condition. No fridge in room, long life milk was past its Best Before date. Only one side of electric blanket worked, a couple of bung Power points. No WIFI offered and only two TV channels
Could not access the pub easily as using a wheelchair and no ramps. Not prepared to even consider with help even though a very big tourist area with accomodation. Free camping self contained camping in the front of the pub
Great meals and service. The publicans are awesome. You can park up your fully self contained caravan in the carpark overnight. Highly recommend this establishment
We popped in for lunch during a road trip and weren't disappointed - the venue is stunning, the staff friendly, and the food amazing. Will definitely be stopping in again on our next road trip!
